ARGYLE LATEST Adams continues striker search

Plymouth Argyle FC crest Plymouth Argyle boss Derek Adams has confirmed striker Joe Mason will not be returning to his hometown club.

Free agent Mason, 27, was an Argyle target following his released by Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Adams confirmed: "Joe won't be coming. We have put an offer to him and it's not going to happen for us.

"He's has offers from clubs in our division and the division below.

"We have spoken to his agent and Joe has had better offers from other places.

"It's what happens."

With Joel Grant expected to be sidelined until the end of the season, Adams will continue his striker search.


The Argyle boss explained: "You continue to move forward.

"We are looking for someone to give us added depth in that position, because we have Joel out injured."

Argyle's two main target men are Freddie Ladapo and Ryan Taylor.
