Plymouth Argyle caused one of the biggest FA Cup upsets when they defeated Premier League leaders Liverpool in yesterday's fourth round tie at a sold-out Home Park.
Argyle are bottom of the Championship with the most porous defence in the EFL while Arne Slot's Reds boast the best defensive record in the top flight.Argyle - who won 1-0 at Premier League Brentford in the third round - have been drawn at Manchester City in the fifth round over the (extended) weekend of Saturday March 1.
Scottish striker Ryan Hardie scored the all-important 53rd minute penalty winner against Liverpool, sending Caoimhin Kelleher the wrong way from the spot infront of the Devonport End.
Kelleher later got a toe to a 61st minute Hardie strike which turned the in-form number nine's goalbound shot off a post and away for a corner.
At the other end Argyle's defence held firm brilliantly marshalled by player of the match Nikola Katić and fellow towering central defender Maksym Talovyerov alongside Julio Pleguezuelo, more than ably assisted up by wing backs Tymoteusz Puchacz and tireless Matty Sorinola.
Northern Ireland keeper Conor Hazard backed up a rare first half diving save to deny James McConnell with two top drawer stopage time saves to deny Diogo Jota and then - somehow, miraculously - substitute Darwin Nunez's header.
Referee Sam Barrott found 10 minutes of stoppage time and Kelleher went up for the last minute corner, heading into the arms of Hazard to the delight of 14,132 Argyle fans in the ground - and many more watching TV at home, anywhere they could access a screen.
The Devonport End, as they had before kick off, just kept on singing...
