PLYMOUTH manager Steven Schumacher was delighted with his Argyle side as they overturned Wednesday’s 2-0 EFL Cup knockout by Peterborough to beat them 2-0 in League One at Home Park.

Plymouth Argyle boss Steven Schumacher praised substitute Morgan Whittaker for his 70^th minute winner in the 1-0 League One victory over Oxford at rain-lashed Home Park.

Schumacher said: “That’s what Morgan can do. I’m really pleased for him. I have to pick a starting team and a finishing team and he was on the finishing team and he’s won us the game today.”

Homegrown teenage defender Finley Craske has signed his first professional contract at Plymouth Argyle.

The 19-year-old Argyle Academy graduate, who has been at the club since the age of seven, made a huge impact whilst on loan to city neighbours Plymouth Parkway last season, helping them win promotion to the Southern League Premier Division.
