Tiverton Town keeper Chris Wright saved another penalty yesterday – his second in two matches in just over 48 hours.
Wright dived right to stop Matt Hockley’s 80th minute spot kick during Town’s 1-1 draw at Evo-Stik League Southern One South & West leaders Bideford.
The 25-year-old yellows number one also denied striker Lewis Sommers from the spot in the second half of Tiverton’s 1-0 home win over Cinderford last Saturday.
Bideford’s former Tiverton striker James Mudge cancelled out Joe Bushin’s 40th minute opener in the 75th minute as Sean Joyce’s table-topping Robins extended their unbeaten league run to 12 matches.
Resurgent Tiverton – who host Paulton Rovers next Saturday – are unbeaten in four.
Ilfracombe Town keeper Steve Oliver saved a spot kick in the Bluebirds’ 1-1 Western League Premier draw at Sherborne.
