The 2012-2013 Toolstation Western League season kicks off today buoyed by the introduction of a handful of newcomers.

Five new teams have joined the new-look league over the summer resulting in promoted duo - Newton Abbot’s Buckland Athletic and Bristol’s Winterbourne United - playing their first Western League Premier Division games this afternoon.

Devon side Buckland kick off their first WL season at established league outfit Bristol Manor Farm (The Creek 1500) while The Bourne host Bath side Larkhall Athletic (Parkside Avenue).

Somerset side Cheddar FC kick off their first Western League First Division campaign at home to Sherborne Town (Bowdens Park) while fellow newcomers Cribbs Friends Life FC and Warminster Town also begin with home fixtures.
