Non-League Day was an initiative launched by Queens Park Rangers fan James Doe after watching his side play at Tavistock AFC in a pre-season friendly in 2010.Now in its ninth season Non-League Day aims to promote all that is great about “real football” and real football fans at the grassroots level of the game, where volunteers play as big a part as a team’s top scorers.
Always scheduled to coincide with an international football break, today’s Non-League Day will dovetail with the FA Trophy preliminary round and the FA Vase first round proper – an ideal starting point for new non-League supporters to see some knockout action from the off.
