Truro’s talented amateur golf ace Rhys Enoch is set to play in the ISPS Handa Wales Open at Celtic Manor.
Three places in the European Tour event are offered to the Golf Union of Wales for the nation’s top amateurs.
Enoch, Rhys Pugh and Jason Shufflebotham will get the opportunity to match their skills against some of the top professionals in the European game from May 31-June 3.
“This is a great opportunity for three of the best up and coming golfers in Wales,” said Golf Union of Wales performance director Ben Waterhouse.
“We would like to thank Celtic Manor and the European Tour for granting wild cards to our players and what a fantastic opportunity it will be for them.”
All three Welsh internationals are on golf scholarships in the US and have already been named in the Great Britain and Ireland squad to take on the continent of Europe in the St Andrews Trophy.
Enoch - whose family live in Cornwall - is on the golf team at East Tennessee State University, along with Pugh and Devon golfer Sam Edwards.
