Devon's Loughborough Students skipper Giselle Ansley is set to make her England Hockey senior debut next month.
The former Plymouth Marjon and Dartmouth defender has been named in a youthful new-look England women's squad for the forthcoming Investec Challenge tournament in Cape Town, South Africa, from Feb 4-11.
Ansley, 20, is one of four players in the squad - along with Clifton 19-year-old Joie Leigh - to successfully step up from England's bronze-medal winning Junior EuroHockey Nations Championship under 21 squad.
Midfielder-forward Leigh (pictured) represents Bristol club Clifton in the Women's Premier Division and is also poised for her senior England bow.
Ansley, from Kingsbridge, is an accomplished cricketer and already toured South Africa with that sport.
England face hosts South Africa in the series opener on Monday February 4.
