Cardiff & Met men's ones have won 14 of their 16 league games this term, scoring an incredible 67 goals in the process - an average of four goals a game.
That incredible record means the table-topping blues are six points clear of second place Bowdon with a far superior goal differencea dn just two matches to play.
Baement side Belper face a different battle at the other end of the table having won three of their 16 league games.
The Met team featuring four of the recent Wales Men’s World Cup squad have been in dominant form travelling all over England as part of the campaign.
Long-standing Cardiff & Met Hockey Club head coach Walid Abdo said: "I am absolutely delighted and proud of the outcomes this season. Our levels of consistency have been excellent. I genuinely think we have only played one bad quarter all year. It would be great to see the club and players competing in the top league in the country and a great reward for all the hard work."
Hockey Wales CEO Paul Whapham said: "Over recent years the performance of both our men’s and women’s hockey teams has continued to improve and move Wales up the world hockey rankings.
"In the past 12 months we have seen Wales achieve their best positions in the Commonwealth Games and our men perform at a World Cup for the first time in our history.
"Having Cardiff & Met compete against the best hockey players in England will increase the visibility of our sport in Wales and provide our players with a chance to test themselves at the highest level.
"Playing in the Vitality Premier Division will be great preparation for our men ahead of major international tournaments. I am sure the whole of the Welsh hockey family wishes them every success today."
