The highly successful Bristol Ladies Rugby team are setting up a development programme starting in September 2013.
The programme is designed for 16 to 19 year old girls who would like to combine academic studies with rugby development.
The scheme will be based at South Gloucestershire & Stroud College's state-of-art WISE campus facilities in Bristol.
Bristol Ladies RFC head coach Susie Appleby says: "This is a fantastic initiative for young girls in this area. They have an opportunity to develop their rugby skills in an outstanding environment.
"The scheme will be delivered by Bristol Ladies coaching staff as we look to develop local talent with the potential to progress into our senior programme. We look forward to building an excellent partnership with SGS College."
Programme leader and Bristol Ladies coach Matt Belbin said: "We are very aware of the fantastic work that is going on in many of the combination clubs in the Bristol area to develop women's rugby.
"We would like to work with these clubs to provide aspiring ladies rugby players an opportunity to achieve their potential. In partnership with Bristol Ladies RFC we will be starting a new programme in September 2013 that combines the girls' academic studies with a high class rugby programme."
