Rugby fans and exiles – one and all - head to the Mennaye Field at Penzance tonight as Cornish Pirates take on London Welsh in the eagerly-anticipated 2012 RFU Championship final first leg (1945)
A full house is expected at the Mennaye as Pirates – beaten in last year’s final by Worcester – bid to go one better against their capital Welsh visitors.
Pirates beat Bristol 63-53 on aggregate over two legs in this season’s semi final while the Exiles edged past Bedford 30-27.
Dave Ewers, 21, starts at six for Pirates in place of sidelined flanker Chris Morgan (arm). Harare-born Ewers is dual registered with parent club Exeter Chiefs.
Pirates also include on-loan Chiefs centre Sam Hill, 18.
Exeter teenager Hill is an England Under 20 international selected to play in next month's 2012 IRB Junior World Championship in Cape Town, South Africa (June 4-22).
