Welsh rugby ace Louis Rees-Zammit returns to the Gloucester starting XV for tonight’s eagerly anticipated West derby at Bath (1945).

The Penarth-born 20-year-old was in sensational two tries match-winning form for Wales as they edged to a thrilling 25-24 win at Murrayfield last weekend.

Now along with Scotland centre Chris Harris, “Rees lightning” returns to the Cherry & Whites back division as they seek to improve on last week’s nail-biting 18-17 derby defeat by leaders Bristol at Kingsholm.

Italy scrum half Stephen Varney also returns to the Gloucester squad from international duty.

Eleven of tonight’s 23 Cherry & Whites selection have progressed through the Gloucester Rugby Academy including Rees-Zammit and Varney.
