Thankfully the message seems to be getting through that you need to be pro-active to interact with SWSN and pass on information about your sport or club in South West England or South Wales.
I aim to be the enabler but on - or before - matchdays I need YOUR CLUB to officially inform SWSN whether a fixture is on ice, washed off or undergoing, passed or failed a pitch inspection. The beauty of the new media is we can keep supporters updated by the minute!
To answer some often asked questions: essentially SWSN is a one-man operation, based in Plymouth and on Saturday afternoons from noon until about 1900 hours I am usually offline as I am covering a football match for national newspapers and/or radio.
For example today I am summarising at Torquay United and will leave for that game before noon as I want to listen to Exeter City v Plymouth Argyle on BBC Radio Devon on the way to Plainmoor.
I know there are a number of pitch inspections underway as I type so if you want to alert people via the front page of SWSN that your fixture is off either tweet me @swsportsnews or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Hopefully you won't need to... and it will be game on!
Wherever you are - playing, coaching or supporting - I hope you enjoy your sporting Saturday.
footnote the sportspeople that read this and tweet to @swsportsnews are the people that propel SWSN
