Despite being without a number of regular first team players through injury and unavailability, Ivybridge beat Torquay United 4-3 on penalties to progress into the Devon County St Luke’s Bowl second round at Erme Valley.

Ivybridge battled back from a 1-0 interval deficit to take a 2-1 lead before Torquay equalised in the closing stages.

LEAGUE leaders Ivybridge Town extended their unbeaten run to 10 games with a 1-0 victory at home to Teignmouth in the South West Peninsula League on Saturday.

A close-range strike from Chris Wright in the 35^th minute was enough to secure a sixth successive win and extend the Ivys lead at the top of the East Division to nine points.

Plymouth Argyle attacking midfielder Morgan Whittaker scored his first Championship hat-trick as the greens stormed to a 6-2 home win over Norwich City at Home Park.
