The Great Britain team for August's 3rd FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Lima, Peru, will include Plymouth Leander's rising young star Grant Halsall and Bath teenage swiming sensation Siobhan-Marie O'Connor.
The 18-strong squad announced by British Swimming also includes Amelia Maughan (Millfield/British Gas ITC Bath) as well as new senior national 200 metres individual medley champion O’Connor (TeamBath/Bath University).

Last season's play-off finalists Cornish Pirates will kick off the new RFU Championship season at Moseley on Saturday September 3.
Bristol Rugby also travel on the opening day, jousting against Doncaster Knights, while Graham Dawe's Plymouth Albion begin the new season at home to Esher at Brickfields.

Plymouth Devils' Premier League speedway match at Workington tonight (1900) was postponed this morning due to a waterlogged track.
The meeting was postponed just before 0900 following an early morning track inspection.

Devon’s Commonwealth Games silver medallist Antony James clocked a season’s best time in the British Gas ASA National Championships men’s 100m Butterfly final to dip under the time needed to qualify for next month's 14th FINA World Championships in Shanghai.
The Plymouth Leander swimmer led from gun to wall, ultimately touching in a season’s best 52.13 at Pond’s Forge, Sheffield.

Exeter Chiefs are planning to send their future stars out on loan to the region's Championship clubs next season.
Youngsters Jon Vickers, Herbie Stupple and Addison Lockley are set to team up with Plymouth Albion, while Sam Hill, Lloyd Fairbrother and Dave Ewers are ear-marked to join Cornish Pirates, where Chiefs hooker Tom Cowan-Dickie will again continue on dual registered forms as he did last season.
