Truro’s Sarah-Jane Boyd has started her Cornwall Ladies Golf Association amateur championship defence at West Cornwall Golf Club.
Boyd - who teed off at 0800 this morning - has won the coveted county championship three times, in 2007, 2009 and last year at Mullion when she beat St Enodoc’s Katie Rule in the final.

Both Bath Combination Cup rugby union semi-finals take place tonight.
Oldfield Old Boys meet Midsomer Norton at Lambridge Training Ground, London Road (1930) while Chippenham take on University of Bath at Allington Sports Ground (1945).

Bristol Rugby Academy play Northampton Saints in an under 18s match at Clifton RFC today (Cribbs Causeway 1430). Admission is free.
Admission is also free for tonight's Bath United fixture against Somerset County senior XV (Memorial Ground 1930).

Team Bath Buccaneers and University of Exeter play their final England Hockey League Promotion Tournament matches at Cannock Cricket & Hockey Club in Staffordshire today (1300).
Exeter – who finished ninth in the 2011-2012 Men’s Premier Division - finish the tournament against Conference East champions Canterbury knowing anything but defeat will maintain their top flight status following yesterday’s 6-0 win over Bath.
