Swindon Town boss Richie Wellens praised Ryan Lowe’s Plymouth Argyle after ending the greens’ three-match winning streak 2-1 to stay top of League Two.

Wellens admitted: “Along with Crewe, they are the best team we have played. We played them earlier in the season and their movement causes teams a lot of problems.”

Joe Dunne praised Bristol Rovers for their resilience following a 1-0 FA Cup replay win at League Two Plymouth.

Dunne said: "It is a wonderful result against a really difficult team to play against. Once again the resilience of everybody has shone through.”

Ryan Lowe’s Plymouth Argyle soared to seventh in League Two with a last-gasp 2-1 home win over Stevenage ahead of Wednesday's game against table toppers Swindon Town at Home Park.

Lowe said: “I always believed the boys coming on as subs are going to get us one final chance and that’s what happened.”

Bristol City Academy teenager striker Louis Britton has joined Jerry Gill's National League South side Bath City FC on loan for the remainder of the season.

Britton, 18, has just spent a successful goal-scoring loan spell at Southern League Premier South side Yate Town managed by Paul Britton.

Targetman Ryan Brunt's 112th minute winner enabled Bath City to progress to the FA Trophy first round following a thrilling third qualifying round 3-2 extra time win at Gosport Borough.

City will now host the winner of Sholing FC's rain-delayed tie against Paulton Rovers due to be played next Tuesday. Boro fought back to force extra time after first half goals from Tom Smith (27 mins) and Andy Watkins (30) put City 2-0 up on the half hour.
