Cornwall boosted their Minor Counties Knock Out Cup quarter final hopes with a six-wicket win over Bedfordshire at Truro yesterday.
Beds were bowled out for 114 with Cornwall and Truro skipper Tom Sharp taking four for 9. Dan Davis and Andrew Libby took two wickets.
Cornwall made 118-4 in reply with Callington’s Matt Robins unbeaten on 39.
Cornwall will win through to the quarter finals if they win their final group game at Hertfordshire next Sunday.
• Falmouth beat Plympton by 72 runs in the Kingfisher Beer Cup yesterday to set up a second round tie at Werrington.
• Today there are four Premier 50/50 Cup games starting at 1300: Grampound Road v Callington (The Playing Field), Truro v St Austell (Boscawen Park), Paul v Falmouth (Hutchens Park) and Camborne v Troon (Roskear) in a local derby.
• In County Division 1 there is a re-arranged game, Wadebridge at home to Redruth (Egloshayle Road 1330).
