Town top scorer Eoin Doyle increased his season’s tally to 23 goals with the Robins 77th minute winner.

Doyle - on loan from League Two rivals Bradford City - slotted home from 12 yards after being teed up by Paul Caddis from the right.

Dom Telford opened the scoring for Argyle with a superb downward header to greet left wing back George Cooper’s deep, far post cross on 22 minutes.

Swindon levelled on 35 minutes through a brilliant solo goal by Diallang Jaiyesimi.

The impressive Swindon striker turned marker Joe Edwards 30 yards out before letting fly with an unstoppable drive that flew in off the inside of the post.

Jaiyesimi was denied by keeper Alex Palmer’s save in the 27th minute while Robins number one Steven Benda had to go full stretch in the sixth minute to acrobatically punch away Niall Canavan’s goal-bound header.

Substitute Kaiyne Woolery came close to setting up a goal seconds after his introduction on the hour but his pacey cross just eluded the incoming forwards.
