IVYBRIDGE Town claimed their second away Western Premier win of the week with a 5-0 success at Welton Rovers.

Following their 1-0 win away to Saltash in midweek, it meant six points and two clean sheets for Ivybridge, as a reward following a three-hour trip to Welton.

Relegation haunted Plymouth Argyle were hammered 5-0 by Scott Parker’s clinical Championship promotion hopefuls Burnley at Home Park.

Argyle – under new management with Austrian Miron Muslic replacing Wayne Rooney as head coach less than two weeks ago – are five points adrift at the foot of the table, without a win in 14 league games. Burnley are unbeaten in 15.

A GOAL from striker Ollie Aplin was enough to give Ivybridge Town their first win of 2025 with a 1-0 away victory over Saltash United in the Western League Premier Division.

After a goalless first half, Aplin provided the vital breakthrough with his fifth goal of the season in the 61^st minute at Kimberley.
