Peterborough striker Jimmy-Jay Morgan scored a 30th minute winner after pouncing on a rebound from Argyle keeper Luca Ashby-Hammond as the Posh won 1-0 at in-form Plymouth.

Ashby-Hammond managed to keep out Jacob Mendy’s thumping angled shot from the right but could do nothing to stop Morgan’s follow-up.

New-look Plymouth Argyle claimed their first League One win under new boss Tom Cleverley with a 1-0 home victory over Steve Bruce’s Blackpool.

Argyle midfielder Malachi Boateng was the matchwinner, cutting in from left and hammering home from inside the box after being set-up by Ayman Benarous in the 48th minute.

Striker Owen Oseni scored twice as League One Plymouth Argyle fought back from 2-0 down at half time to knock a Championship Queens Park Rangers out of the EFL Cup.

WESTERN PREM Ivybridge Town 1 Saltash United 3

Lack of a clinical finishing touch in front of goal saw Ivybridge Town suffer a 3-1 home defeat against unbeaten Western League leaders Saltash United at Erme Valley.

Both sides went close to breaking the deadlock during a goalless first half with skipper Sam Hillson being denied for Ivybridge when he had a shot cleared off the line.
