BOND TIMBER PUT SHIRTS ON ARGYLE

plymouth argyle football club logoPlymouth Argyle's new flagship sponsors WH Bond & Sons will ensure the greens are kitted out in time for the start of the new Football League season in 10 days.

“This time yesterday, we were panicking about whether we’d be running out at Shrewsbury with a kit to play in,” Argyle’s acting chairman Peter Ridsdale revealed as he announced the South East Cornwall agricultural-based company would be teaming up with the greens on an initial one-year sponsorship deal.

Risdale explained the sponsors - whose Bond Timber logo will adorn the Pilgrims' green home tops and white away jerseys - have literally put their shirts on Argyle.

Risdale explained: “When we spoke to WH Bond & Sons about our predicament, the first thing they did is write out a cheque so that our team will have a kit to play in. It's an indication of an outstanding relationship ”

WH Bond & Sons director Chris Bond and his father Martin have been lifelong supporters of Argyle.

Chris Bond said: "I really can't wait to see the team in the new tops, but what I am really looking forward to is seeing all the fans wearing the new kit - that will be really special."
