Reid may also use tonight's friendly to cast his eye over trialists, Oldham Athletic's 30-year-old Northern Ireland striker Warren Feeney and Middlesbrough's England Under 18 central defender Ben Gibson.

Argyle - newly sponsored by Bond Timber - are set to open their League Two campaign at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

Reid (pictured) wants his new-look first team squad to have one more final run-out before the new season kicks off.

An Argyle XI won 3-1 at Tavistock last Friday while a full-strength side overcame Truro City 2-1 at Home Park last Wednesday.

Ashes officials anticipate a large crowd for tonight's popular pre-season fixture and have advised those attending the match to allow plenty of time to gain entry - while also avoiding queues at turnstiles.
