Torquay United playmaker Danny Stevens is back in full training ahead of Saturday’s League Two Devon derby against Plymouth Argyle at Plainmoor (1500).
Stevens - who hit 10 goals for the Gulls last term - has yet to play this season following a thigh injury.
Gulls boss Martin Ling confirmed: “Danny is training today and tomorrow and off the back of that if he comes through with a clean bill of health and no reaction, will be considered for the 18 for Saturday.”
Injured United midfield trio Damon Lathrope, Lloyd Macklin and Saul Halpin remain sidelined while defensive midfielder Craig Easton (groin) remains a doubt.
Ling said: “Craig is probably 20-80 against making it and more likely to return for Rotherham away next week.”
Ling will recall goal scoring Australian central defender Aaron Downes, who has completed his one match suspension and replaces teenager Krtys MacKenzie.
Teenager MacKenzie made his first Football League start along with Welsh midfielder Nathan Craig in United's 1-1 draw at Port Vale last Saturday.
Australian centre back: Aaron Downes (pinnacle)
