GLOUCESTER RUGBY Barton set for Premiership debut

Gloucester Rugby logoCheltenham born George Barton is set to make his first Premiership start at fly-half for Gloucester at Wasps today (1500ko).

Chris Harris returns from international duty and will link up with Billy Twelvetrees in the midfield with Ollie Thorley, Santiago Carreras and Kyle Moyle in the back three. Willi Heinz keeps the scrum half shirt and completes the back line.

In the forwards, Santiago Socino makes his first start for Gloucester Rugby at hooker with Alex Seville and Fraser Balmain packing down alongside him in the front row.

Gloucester Rugby have a strong Academy presence with 10 of the match-day 23 coming through the Academy pathway.

Head Coach George Skivington says: "Wasps have had varied form this season but they're a quality side. They were in the final last season and play some great rugby, so they’ll be more than capable of doing that. We've got full respect for them and we've done our homework, but we've got so much we can improve on as a group that the focus is on us as it has been the last few weeks."
