NETBALL Team Bath 63 Manchester Thunder 67

Team Bath Netball treated another capacity crowd to their best performance of the season so far as they narrowly lost out 67-63 to defending Netball Super League champions Manchester Thunder.

A memorable last home game of the 2023 season saw the Haines Watts-sponsored Blue & Gold provide a 1,700-strong crowd in the Team Bath Arena with plenty to cheer as they took a 38-33 lead into half-time.

TEAM BATH NETBALL full house to face Thunder

TEAM BATH Netball will have another capacity crowd behind them tonight when they take on Manchester Thunder in their final home match of the 2023 Netball Super League season.

A club-record 12,200 tickets have been sold for the eight fixtures at the Team Bath Arena this year and it will be a full house once again when the Haines Watts-sponsored Blue & Gold face the defending champions live on Sky Sports (1930 centre-pass).

Team Bath Netball Head Coach Asha Francis says her new-look Super League squad will have learnt a lot from their tough 86-52 opening defeat to an outstanding Loughborough Lightning side.

Team Bath Netball were once again left to rue a run of goals against them in the final quarter as they lost 53-44 at home to defending champions Loughborough Lightning in the Vitality Superleague on Monday.

As was the case against Manchester Thunder two weeks ago Team Bath let the game get away from them in the last 15 minutes as a lethal Lightning side took the final quarter 18-8 to extend their unbeaten run.

Team Bath Netball go into a massive March in positive and determined mood after emerging victorious from a pulsating Vitality Superleague derby at Severn Stars.


Momentum ebbed and flowed as the West Country rivals went toe to toe at the University of Gloucester Arena on Saturday but it was the Haines Watts-sponsored Blue & Gold – with South African star defender Phumza Maweni in their starting seven for the first time – who held their nerve in the closing stages to clinch a 48-45 win.
