Malawi captain Caroline Mtukule is thrilled to be bringing her defensive talent to the Super League for the first time after joining Team Bath Netball for the 2023 season.After four Netball World Cups and five Commonwealth Games, Mtukule, who plays goal-defence and goal-keeper, has amassed a wealth of experience during a playing career dating back to 2004.

Versatile defender Lily-May Catling will captain Team Bath Netball’s Super League team this season. “To be voted in as captain by my team-mates is pretty special,” said Catling (pictured) who first joined the Blue & Gold as an Academy player before returning to the club ahead of last season.

Team Bath Netball were once again left to rue a run of goals against them in the final quarter as they lost 53-44 at home to defending champions Loughborough Lightning in the Vitality Superleague on Monday.
As was the case against Manchester Thunder two weeks ago Team Bath let the game get away from them in the last 15 minutes as a lethal Lightning side took the final quarter 18-8 to extend their unbeaten run.
