South West swim star Liam Tanock made it another golden day for Team England in the Delhi pool by winning the XIX Commonwealth Games men's 100m backstroke in record time.
Tancock - from Exeter - saw off his final rivals with a superb swim to touch first in a new Commonwealth record 53.59 and add another Games gold medal to the one he raced to in the 50m backstroke.
After the race the 25-year-old told fellow Devonian Sharron Davies - working for the BBC pool-side in Delhi - that he was delighted to be a double Commonwealth Games champion and also that 100m was his favourite race.
"But I like all races" he admitted with a winning smile.
