The two most recent graduates from National Counties cricket to the first-class ranks will be back in NCCA Trophy action today.Batter Kashif Ali, who has just been signed by Worcestershire on a short-term contract to the end of the season, will play for Bedfordshire against Cornwall at Southill Park.

Today Minchinhampton Golf Club, near Stroud, stages the 36 holes South West Counties individual and team strokeplay championships over 36 holes, weather-permitting.The Gloucestershire golf club is stage for this week's annual South West men's amateur golf championships and as such, and as is traditional on a Tuesday, also stages today's individual competition and the team event, which acts as the English County Finals regional qualifier.

Northamptonshire batter Charlie Thurston is set to make his first appearance for Bedfordshire in five years in today’s National Counties Trophy group match against Devon at Exeter.Thurston, who has yet to appear for Northamptonshire this season, is not required by the senior county this weekend and so he is available for Bedfordshire, for whom he made his debut in 2014.
