Saltash United are still searching for their first Western League point of the season following their fifth successive defeat, this time at Ilfracombe’s Marlborough Park.

First half goals from Tyler Evans-Loude (9 minutes) and Rory Paine (42) gave the home side a nice cushion by the break and even though substitute Henry Bunning pulled a goal back a minute after coming on (76) the Ashes were unable to rescue anything from the game.

Southampton striker Che Adams scored a stoppage time winner as Saints won in the sun at Plymouth.

Everton target Adams chested the ball down and volleyed in from close range after Argyle keeper Conor Hazard had palmed out Adam Armstrong’s goal-bound header from a 94^th minute corner.
