A smash of brilliance from Gulls skipper Lee Mansell brightened up sixth placed Torquay United’s scrappy 1-0 home win over second from bottom Dagenham & Redbridge.
United boss Martin Ling said: “It was a great winner, it stood out as bright spot and Lee has now got nine goals now.”

The Cornish Riviera Festival will tee off this year’s mouth-watering 2012 PGA West Region programme.
The annual festival three-day festival takes place over three outstanding north coast links courses - Trevose Golf & Country Club, St Enodoc and Newquay - between April 17 and 19.

Exeter-born Harlequins centre Matt Hopper will be hoping to celebrate his 27th birthday on Sunday with a homecoming debut for England Saxons against Irish Wolfhounds at Sandy Park on Saturday (1700).
The 26-year-old joined Quins from Cornish Pirates last season and has just been called into the Saxons training squad for the first time.

Bath’s Larkhall Athletic have been drawn away to unbeaten Kent League leaders Herne Bay in the FA Vase fifth round on Saturday February 11.
The Larks - managed by Wayne Thorne - are the last remaining Western League side in the last 16 following Saturday’s 3-2 win at Reading Town.
