Tiverton teenage ace Jess Bradley was narrowly beaten by Yorkshire's Claire Smith in the English Women's Open Mid-Amateur Championship final at Collingtree Park Golf Club.
Bradley, 18, was pipped by one hole by Smith despite birdie threes at the sixth and 10th and a superb 25 foot putt to par 13 before another birdie at the 14th.

Burnham and Berrow touring professional Lee Corfield has qualified for the 2011 Open Championship at Royal St George’s, which tees off two weeks from today.
Former Somerset amateur ace Corfield – an England Elite player and 2004 West of England Open Strokeplay champion in his amateur days - qualified for the Open with a three under par 139 score at local final qualifying at Littlestone, Kent.

Cornwall claimed a first-ever Minor Counties Championship victory over Cheshire, by six wickets at Boughton Hall, Chester, today.
At the start of play today Cornwall needed 130 runs to win with all 10 second innings wickets remaining following yesterday's remarkable day's play.
