The Cornwall Cricket League Hawkey Cup finals day at St Austell CC's Wheal Eliza ground was rain-affected yesterday.
Werrington beat Menheniot-Looe in the first semi final by 22 runs in between the showers but the second semi final between Newquay and last year's finalists Callington could not start.

Somerset’s Lee Corfield finished tied 101st at the 2011 Open Championship at Royal St George’s.

Paul's Kelvin Snell scored an unbeaten century and took six wickets on the third and final day as Cornwall drew their home Minor Counties Championship match with Wales at Falmouth CC.
Cornwall made 293 in the first innings and then declared at 302-9 opening the door of opportunity for Wales MC to make 321 to win the Western Division clash.

Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League pace setters Callington have opened up a seven point lead following a high scoring top of the table draw at St Just. Callington made 236 for 6 with St Just 178 for 6 in reply.
Truro moved up to joint second after winning a low scoring game at Grampound Road. Truro made 164 for 9 before Grampound Road were dismissed for 73 with Alex Taylor taking 5 for 31.
