Record breaking Ross Jones topped the Total Triumph Classic leaderboard at Oake Manor Golf Club, Somerset to claim his first PGA West Region order of merit win.
Bath’s Jones finished 10 under on 130 after a scorching second round, course record 62 to finish three strokes ahead of runner-up Paul Hendriksen of Dinnaton (69, 64).

The men's Cornwall Golf Union Amateur Championships take place at St Enodoc until Saturday with the match play stages of the competition already in full swing.
Joe Cruse – from the host club – topped yesterday's qualifying leader board with back to back 67s for a six under 134 total, six ahead of nearest rivals Carl Burley (Merlin) and Anthony Nash (St Enodoc) on 140.

Devon golf professional Paul Hendriksen fired a fantastic eight-under-par 63 at Ferndown to clinch his second successive victory in a West Region qualifier for the Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship in association with Peugeot.
Hendriksen won at Celtic Manor a year ago but missed the cut at The Belfry final.

Former PGA Championship winner Scott Drummond, Bristol ace Chris Wood and Exeter’s Chris Gill tee off the 2012 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth tomorrow.
South Devon-based Drummond – who won the prestigious European Tour tournament in 2004 – tees off at 0950 tomorrow morning and 1415 on Friday.

April showers – and high winds - caused the prestigious 2012 West of England Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Royal North Devon to be reduced to from 72 to 54 holes.
Surrey’s Joshua White (Chipstead) Gloucestershire’s Charlie McLean (Brickhampton Court) and Yorkshire's Matthew Daley (Hainsworth Park) shared a three-way tie after three rounds at the top of the leader board on 223.

Gloucestershire county champion Shelby Smart continued early season form by sharing the 2012 English Women’s Close Amateur Championship first day lead at Royal Birkdale.
Smart (Knowle) scored three over 78 at Royal Birkdale along with Melissa Nicol (Moor Hall) and Helen Searle (Huddersfield).
