IVYBRIDGE Town continued their impressive start to the South West Peninsula League season with a fifth win on the spin, at Okehampton.

Ivybridge shaded an evenly contested first half and took a 1-0 interval lead with an early goal from in-form Fletcher Williams, who fired home from the edge of the penalty area for his fourth goal of the season.

After a midweek hiccup in the FA Cup, Millbrook were back to business in the league and back on track at red hot Jenkins Park on Saturday.

Memories of the 1-0 extra preliminary round replay defeat to neighbours Torpoint were quickly swept away as first half goals from Dave Youlden (19) and Sean Thomson (34) saw the Brook to their second win in the opening three games.

A SPIRITED performance saw unbeaten Ivybridge claw back from a 2-0 deficit to gain a 3-2 home win over Brixham and top the South West Peninsula League East table.

It was the fourth successive win for Ivybridge, who recovered well after trailing to a lively in-form Brixham side, who scored twice in the first 23 minutes.

A SUCCESSFUL 49th minute penalty by Fletcher Williams enabled Ivybridge Town to maintain their winning start to the South West Peninsula League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Torridgeside at Erme Valley.

Ivybridge held on for their third win in three games despite being reduced to ten men when Joe Seery was sent off after collecting a second yellow card in the 62nd minute.
