Charlie Knight – you would be excused for asking Charlie who? – proved to be Millbrook’s hero as he scored the late goal which bagged all three points for Macca Brown’s men and stretched their unbeaten league run to 12 matches.This was Knight’s first appearance for the Brook and he made an immediate impact after coming on as a substitute in the 70th minute of their 3-2 Western Premier win at Ashton & Backwell United.

Debutant Ali Boyer made an unbelievable impact for Cadbury Heath, scoring a hat-trick in their 3-2 Western Premier win over second placed Exmouth.

Orlando Anker’s first goal since signing from Newquay sealed victory for Helston in a hugely entertaining Les Phillips Cup tie against a weakened Millbrook side at Kellaway Park last night.Anker came off the bench just after the hour with the game nicely poised at 1-1 and produced the touch of magic necessary to separate two top sides with 11 minutes left.

Millbrook manager Macca Brown was in philosophical mood after watching his Western Premier side pegged back to a 1-1 draw by struggling Street at Jenkins Park on Saturday.Rikki Shepherd had given the Brook a 17th minute lead with his 26th goal of the season and the home side went on to hit the woodwork three times in the second half.
