Millbrook AFC LogoTallan Mitchell’s goal eight minutes from time secured all three points for classy Mousehole against a Millbrook side who gave it their all in a hugely entertaining clash.

Mousehole were already 1-0 up thanks to Callam Mconie’s 41st minute strike and while they were hardly hanging on, Mitchell’s close range finish gave the visitors a more comfortable last 10 minutes.

It might have taken them more than an hour to break the deadlock, but once they did, Saltash blossomed and should have won by a bigger margin on their return to the Western League after 14 years.

Central defender Callum O’Brien’s looping header from Jarrad Woods’ long range free kick gave the Ashes the breakthrough on 61 minutes and super sub Scott Crocker doubled the lead nine minutes later.
