Exeter Chiefs Director of Rugby Rob Baxter has underlined the importance of the next six weeks for his side, describing the period as season-defining.

Today the Chiefs welcome Northampton Saints for the first of four home games in five weeks.

Two goalless games don’t sound very festive or much fun – but Millbrook manager Macca Brown was relatively happy with 0-0 Western League Premier draws at home to Torpoint and away to Wellington over the holiday period.

Brown recognises the value in being able to keep a clean sheet or two. After all, all successful teams are built from the back and if you don’t concede, you’ll find you don’t lose many games.
