St Mellion amateur ace Megan Giles warmed up for this week's Helen Holm Scottish Women's Open Championship at Royal Troon & Troon Portland by retaining the Cornwall women's title.

Talented teenager Giles pipped Perranporth's Danielle Price in a titanic matchplay final at Price's rain and windswept home course.

National League South champions Torquay United will begin building for a new challenge after winning promotion to the National League at the first attempt.
