Werrington CC remain top of the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League after beating Newquay CC by four wickets in a remarkable game at the Sports Centre.
Alex Smeeth took 7-26 to skittle the home side out for 40. Werrington lost six wickets in reaching the target.

St Just CC retained the Vinter Cup at Camborne last night in one of the closest finals for years.
The holders beat Falmouth CC - last year's beaten finalists - by five wickets with only three balls to spare.

St Just CC’s Neil Curnow top scored with 59 after rain delayed the start of Cornwall CCC’s Minor Counties Championship Western Division third round clash against Wiltshire CCC at Grampound Road CC.
Cornwall won the toss and were all out for 246, shortly before seven o’clock on the first day.

In last night's first Vinter Cup semi final at Hayle, Paul beat Camborne by six wickets with an over to spare.
After a good start Camborne were pegged back to end on 127 for 7 with skipper Dan Stephens making 22.

Cornwall's cricketers - Minor Counties Championship champions last summer - kept their MCCA KO Trophy hopes alive with a thrilling 16-run group 1 win at Challow & Childrey CC against Oxfordshire while Beds lost by three wickets to table-topping Hertfordshire at Harpenden yesterday.
