NCCA-Logo MasterDefending champions Berkshire extended their unbeaten run to 34 consecutive Championship matches but had to settle for a draw against Wiltshire at Corsham in Western Division One. 

Former England Under-19s opener Savin Perera made 121 not out, his highest Championship score, but he was overshadowed by debutant Josh Lincoln in a fourth wicket partnership of 130 in 20 overs.

NCCA-Logo MasterDefending champions Berkshire were frustrated by rain, which delayed play in their Western Division One match against Wiltshire at Corsham until after lunch. 

But they then made brisk progress with Tom Nugent taking the last three Wiltshire wickets to finish with six for 63.

NCCA-Logo MasterBerkshire made a strong start to their quest to win the National Counties Championship for a record fifth consecutive time before rain interrupted play on the opening day of their Western Division One match against Wiltshire at Corsham. 

Wiltshire were struggling on 127 for seven when the weather closed in having opted to bat first after Berkshire’s new ball pair of Tom Nugent and Andy Rishton had done the early damage.

NATIONAL COUNTIES TROPHY wins for Dorset and Devon

NCCA-Logo MasterDorset held their nerve to edge out Herefordshire by nine runs in a thrilling National Counties Trophy Group Two match at Brockhampton. 

Herefordshire appeared to have laid the foundations for victory when skipper Matt Pardoe made an unbeaten half century and they reached 92 without loss in the 20th over in pursuit of a target of 195.

NCCA-Logo MasterWiltshire opened their *NCCA Trophy campaign with a 14 runs victory over Dorset at Bashley.

Wiltshire captain Ed Young’s unbeaten run-a-ball 103 was the centrepiece of his side’s innings before Oli Soames kept Dorset in the hunt with 67.

MINOR COUNTIES Divisions sorted for next season

Devon will play in the Second Division after Cornwall’s Tom Dinnis produced career-best performances with bat and ball to set up an 81 runs win at Exeter.

Dinnis, whose previous highest score was 23, made 41 and shared a last wicket stand of 70 with Andrew Libby.
