Hertfordshire have become the second side to qualify for this season's National Counties T20 Finals Day at Tring Park on May 21.

Hertfordshire had needed to win one of their matches against Suffolk at Welwyn Garden City on Sunday to clinch Group Three.

NATIONAL COUNTIES Libby returns to Cornish roots

CornwallCricket portraitWorcestershire batter Jake Libby returned to his cricket roots at the weekend when he played league cricket for Callington and for Cornwall in their National Counties T20 double-header against Dorset at Milton Abbey School. 

A free weekend for Worcestershire meant that Libby was able to return to the Duchy and also make his first appearance for Cornwall in five years.

NATIONAL COUNTIES T20 fixtures, results & preview

NCCA-Logo MasterWorcestershire batter Jake Libby helped Cornwall to end Dorset’s unbeaten start to their National Counties T20 campaign with an important half century in the Group Two double-header at Milton Abbey School. 

Dorset won the opening match by 41 runs to make it four wins from their first games in the competition but Libby helped Cornwall gain quick revenge with a nine runs victory in the second game of the day.

RAIN WASHES OUT Cornwall Cricket League weekend

It’s rare that not a ball is bowled on a full Cornwall Cricket League matchday but that was the case on Saturday with 53 cancellations due to the weather.

There was persistent rain from breakfast to early evening countywide and with grounds still struggling to recover from Storm Noa earlier in the week the entire programme was called off by lunchtime.

NATIONAL COUNTIES Lintott to spin back in for Wiltshire

Warwickshire left-arm wrist spinner Jake Lintott will swap the heat of Bangladesh for the chill of a Cornish spring when he plays for Wiltshire in today’s National Counties T20 double-header against Cornwall at Wadebridge. 

Lintott has just returned from a successful five-match stint playing for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the Dhaka Premier Division where he claimed his maiden five wicket haul in List A cricket.
