Ivys 600x600IVYBRIDGE Town extended their unbeaten run to six games with a 5-1 home win over Sidmouth Town in the South West Peninsula League at a wet and windy Erme Valley on Saturday.

The result looked comfortable but Ivybridge were indebted to goalkeeper Kane Gregory, who pulled off his second penalty save in successive matches when he kept out a spot kick from Will Jenkins in the 20th minute.

Ivys 600x600LEADING scorer Ollie Aplin hit his 13th goal of the season as Ivybridge Town picked up an important away point with a 1-1 draw at Axminster in the South West Peninsula League on Saturday.

The result extended Ivybridge’s unbeaten run to five games and kept them third in the table with 41 points from 20 matches.
