Chris Brown in full swing... image courtesy Chris Brown It’s that time of year when we will once again regularly post our hugely popular regional State of Play course conditions on the South West Sports News front page - followed by thousands of sports fans.

After years of promoting clubs who didn't reciprocate we now only include those golf clubs who pay the princely sum of £1 a day for an annual advance subscription – think SWSN golf club membership – which also brings the benefit of a club listing and with it hyperlinks to your club website, social media and on-line booking system for visitors.

Long, from Bath club Lansdown, ended the championship hopes of Brabazon Trophy winner Nick Poppleton in the quarter-finals, signing off with a 14th hole birdie to win 5&4.


WOMENS GOLF Toy English Amateur halfway leader

Consistent Toy returned back to back 69s at The Wilmslow in Cheshire, to edge one stroke ahead of a group of four on 139.


WOMENS GOLF Devon ace leads English Amateur

She was a stroke ahead of Lancashire pair Sophie Lamb and Hollie Muse going in to today's second round as good scoring conditions created plenty of other sub-par rounds.  


WOMENS GOLF 2018 South West Week at St Enodoc

ENGLAND GOLF logoRegional amateur county women's golf champions Gloucestershire began their successful title defence with a narrow 5-4 win over Dorset at St Enodoc GC, Rock.
On Tuesday the defending champions drew with hosts Cornwall, who teed off with a big 7-2 win over Wiltshire.
