Wayne Rooney was pleased with his first win as Plymouth Argyle head coach following a 3-0 EFL Cup first round victory over Cheltenham Town.
Rooney said: “I thought we were good. First half we had to be more patient with the ball.”

Berkshire clinched the Western Division One title of the Durant Cricket National Counties Championship and a place in next month’s final by drawing their final divisional match against Oxfordshire at the Falkland club in Newbury.A draw was all that Berkshire, who sit out next weekend’s final round of matches, needed to scupper Oxfordshire’s hopes of overtaking them and they comfortably achieved that by batting through the final day.

The battle for the Western Division One title will go down to the wire after a day of cat-and-mouse championship cricket between leaders Berkshire and Oxfordshire at the Falkland club in Newbury.Berkshire looked like enjoying a healthy first innings lead when they reduced Oxfordshire to 118 for seven but Tristan Rossouw led a bold fightback with 95 not out – his maiden half-century in the competition – with excellent support from Prav Chahal (36) and Tommy Rex (34 not out).
