University of Exeter student Izzy Hamilton is on top of the world again after clinching a second successive gold medal at windsurfing's RS:X World Youth Championships, held over the past week in Cyprus.
Having been crowned Britain’s first ever windsurfing world youth champion at last year’s event in Bodrum, Turkey, Hamilton defended her title in style after racking up an impressive 16 point lead in Limassol.

South West swim star Liam Tanock made it another golden day for Team England in the Delhi pool by winning the XIX Commonwealth Games men's 100m backstroke in record time.
Tancock - from Exeter - saw off his final rivals with a superb swim to touch first in a new Commonwealth record 53.59 and add another Games gold medal to the one he raced to in the 50m backstroke.
FLY GUY JAMES WINS SILVER MEDAL

Plymouth Leander swim star Antony James has won a silver medal for England at the XIX Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
The 20-year-old Plymothian touched home in 52.50 along with Ryan John Pini (Papua New Guinea) in the men's 100m butterfly final behind gold medal winner Geoff Huegill (Australia).

Exeter Diamonds got their England Premier Squash League season off to a sparkling start thanks to a 3-2 opening group B win at southwest rivals Bristol last night.
Diamonds winners were Emma Chorley, Peter Creed and Laurens Jan Anjema, at one.

Exeter's world record holder Liam Tancock has just won gold for Team England in the 50m backstroke final at the 2010 Delhi XIX Commonwealth Games.
Tancock set a new Games record for the discipline winning the final in 24.62 to finish almost half a second up on runner-up Hayden Stoeckel of Australia.
