Ivybridge Town suffered only their third defeat in 17 league games when they lost 2-0 at Crediton in the South West Peninsula League on Saturday.

The defeat enabled Okehampton Argyle to take over at the top of the East Division table following a 4-1 win over Dartmouth while Crediton climbed above Ivybridge into second spot. Ivybridge are third, three points adrift of Okehampton with a game in hand.

Super sub Ryan Knight conjured a late goal to earn a point for Millbrook against a strong Buckland side at Jenkins Park on Saturday.

Knight, who had been introduced after an hour with the Brook trailing to a 35th minute Rob Farkins goal, smashed home a close range shot from a corner.

All the talk before this game was about the return of former Millbrook favourites Tom Payne and Rikki Shepherd to Jenkins Park for the first time since their summer move to Helston.

Most of the talk afterwards was about two talented Brook youngsters who do not look out of place in Western League premier football.
