Wiltshire CCC have qualified for the Unicorns Knockout Trophy quarter final stages following their four-wicket group one win over Wales Minor Counties at Warminster CC yesterday.

Tom Morton (South Wilts CC) was unbeaten on 123 as unbeaten Wiltshire made 235-6 in reply to Wales 231-9. Morton’s 123 included 13 fours and two sixes.

Cornwall Cricket crestThe entire Jolly’s Drinks Cornwall Cricket League programme was again washed out on Monday to complete a miserable, wet blank holiday weekend for Cornish club cricketers.

It was the second occasion in three days that rain stopped all play. The last time a whole programme was washed out - before Saturday - was July 11, 2009.

CRICKET: CORNWALL TOP AND TAYLOR

Cornwall cricket crest Cornwall top the Minor Counties Championship Western Division by eight points, with two rounds remaining following a 105-run win over Cheshire at Truro CC.

Cornwall declared in the morning on 346-8 with St Austell wicket keeper-batsman Taylor Williams making 125 not out. It left Cheshire 363 to win in a minimum of 95 overs.
