University of Exeter claimed their best England Hockey League top flight win by beating second placed Cannock 4-3 in the Men’s Premier Division.
The relegation haunted greens rallied from a 7-1 Saturday defeat at top of the table East Grinstead to stifle Cannock’s title ambitions.

University of Exeter are set to face the sternest test of their Men’s Premier Division credentials since returning to England Hockey League’s top flight.

Gloucestershire player of the year Will Gidman has committed to the Bristol based club until 2014 after penning a new deal.
The 27-year-old all-rounder capped a successful first season with Gloucestershire as player of the year after scoring 1,000 runs and taking 50 wickets in the LV= County Championship last summer.
