That’s what the scoreline suggests anyway. In truth the Ashes were the better side by some distance and should have won by a bigger margin.

PENINSULA PREMIER Ivybridge Town 3 Brixham AFC 2

A SPIRITED performance saw unbeaten Ivybridge claw back from a 2-0 deficit to gain a 3-2 home win over Brixham and top the South West Peninsula League East table.

It was the fourth successive win for Ivybridge, who recovered well after trailing to a lively in-form Brixham side, who scored twice in the first 23 minutes.
